OUR STORY
How a solo practice became a small, dedicated team.
I've been working since I was fifteen: as a grocery store clerk, barista, planning department specialist, dental office manager, bookkeeper for a church & school...the list of experience is long and colorful. Across all of these jobs and industries, the common thread was the same. I loved helping people get organized, gain clarity in their finances, and refocus their business.
When my second son was born at 27 weeks and spent three months in the NICU, I needed work that let me be there for my family while still doing something meaningful. That's when the dream to build something started. Two years later April Thomas, LLC was started.
It has since grown into Thomas & Co. An incredible team of capable, caring women who bring structure and real attention to the businesses we support. What matters to us hasn't changed: real connection, excellent work, and systems that make our client's lives easier.

With more than 15 years in financial management and business operations, April leads client relationships and oversees the financial operations, payroll, and planning across every account.
When she's not working April enjoys spending time with her husband and three boys, crafting, and reading!
Sam Carpenter
CLIENT SERVICE ASSOCIATE
Sam joined the team in 2026 and is building her career in accounting and finance. She's a fast learner who excels in customer service, attention to detail and thorough follow through in everything she handles.
Away from work, she's a mom to her daughter, Sawyer, and spends her free time with her horses and at barrel racing events.
Ashley Burton
ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST
Ashley started as an independent contractor at 22 and had launched her own business by 25. A Quickbooks ProAdvisor and Gusto People Advisor, she brings personal attention and genuine care to every client she supports.
Outside of work, she's usually outdoors, reading, or working on a puzzle.
